Wichita Falls Texas Museums

We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new Director of the Wichita Falls Museum of Art (WFMA) as Director. We are looking for an innovative, cooperative and new director who will position the museum in a way that it can benefit from exhibitions, programs and events. This requires a person who is distinguished in communication, who has great imagination and who is committed to the possibilities of collaboration offered by the rich and valuable museum experience. Developing a vision of how our museum can serve its broader audience while taking full advantage of its recent status as an academic museum and continuing its role as a free-standing art museum.

Like Oklahoma City and Dallas, Wichita Falls has a museum, a water park and a bit of quirk. Conveniently located between Dallas - Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and the Texas A & M University - Dallas campus, we also have our own regional airport, which offers 4 flights to and from D FW daily. Part of the museum is the Call Field Aviation Museum, located at Kickapoo Airport in Wichita Springs, Texas, south of Dallas. Currently, the Call Field Exhibit is located at KickAPoo Airport in Wichita Falls.

Lake Arrowhead State Park, located 15 miles from Wichita Falls, offers hiking, biking, horse riding, camping, fishing and hiking trails. We also have a fishing pond in town, but there are other areas that you can visit for free. Lake Arrowheads is one of the best outdoor activities in Kansas City, Oklahoma, as it is groomed for water sports such as kayaking, canoeing, swimming, hiking and fishing.

The Museum of North Texas History tells the story of how the culture of the area evolved into what it is today, with wonderfully curated exhibits and a variety of exhibits. This museum is a must-see - a unique insight into the history of our city and its people for every visitor to Wichita Falls. Guided tours and books provide an insight into the lives of the people who lived and shaped the city ofichita Falls.

If you decide to explore the nature trails and wetlands, the River Bend Nature Center will be the highlight of your trip to Wichita Falls.

If you love old houses and antiques, I strongly recommend you visit the Kell House Museum, one of the best places to see in Wichita Falls. Saturday is a great day to visit the Wichita Falls, as you can also visit the Crazy Car Museum. The park houses the largest collection of antiques and vintage cars in Texas and is just a few blocks from the historic downtown area. Visitors can visit the museum free of charge on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is free on Sundays and Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

If you're a fan of historic aviation, visit Wichita Falls Aviation Museum, one of the largest aviation museums in the state of Texas. Want to learn more about the history of aviation in Wichita Falls and its history in general?

The Museum of North Texas History has several permanent exhibitions, including a military collection of artifacts from the Civil War and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Locomotive fans note that the museum has the largest collection of rolling stock in the state of Texas, as well as a museum of locomotives. The Kemp Center for the Arts, which features a variety of exhibits on the history of Wichita Falls and its history, is hosting a number of new exhibits this year, from student works to professional pieces.

The MPEC, or Multi-Purpose Events Center, is the place to watch the latest sporting events in Wichita Falls, including football, basketball, baseball, football and wrestling. Fighting tournament, but you can learn more on the Facebook page of the arcade, as well as on their website.

The center is one of five venues that make up the complex; Kay Yeager Colosseum Exhibit Hall is located in the center of the building, next to the Wichita Falls Convention Center and the Texas Museum of Natural History.

Lake Arrowhead State Park is located south of Wichita Falls on the west side of the city, north of Interstate 35. This natural oasis south of Wichita Falls offers a variety of adventures.

One of the city's largest parks is located in downtown Wichita Falls and includes a trail that follows the river and leads to a waterfall. Located in the center of Ichita Falls, Lucy Park is the city that takes its name from its name and houses the Lucy Museum of Natural History.

Lucy Park is a beautiful place with rolling green landscapes and a great view of the Wichita River. The Falls of Wichita Falls are an attraction in themselves, but the place is also a bit funky, endearing and quirky. Sometimes I wonder if it's because the locals like to keep it to themselves, or if I'm just joking.
